MMA Architect Inc. and Windsor Ontario architect, Stuart Miller hope you enjoy our blog. We take a fresh approach to business blogging, highlighting a variety of topics.
Hello, Business Tribe.
All you need is love and a dog, well maybe also a dog biscuit or two.
That was exactly how MMA Architect Inc. felt this morning while attending the Woofa-Roo Pet Fest with our beloved corgi and architectural firm’s mascot Teddy, of #TeddySpeaks.
We read about this fantastic festival in Biz X Magazine and decided to attend. It encouraged us to plan a fun day out with our pet, provided the opportunity to visit with our client, Windsor/Essex County Humane Society, and to donate a bag of our pet food of choice Pet Valu’s Performatrin Ultra.
After stopping by #WindsorHumane, we then set out to mix and mingle with other pet owners and to enjoy the many businesses sharing their animal-focused products and services. We fell in love with and purchased this Keyring from Down the Lane Designs.
Like most pet owners we love to spoil our pup so we stopped by Pawsitively a Dog Thing for a bag of peanut butter biscuits. We had a great chat with owner Tom Bauer, who has been running his ‘all-natural Barkery’ since 2009. Needless to say, Teddy loved his treat (see above picture).
We then had the pleasure of meeting Saskia (sawillis180@gmail.com) an Amigurumi designer, who sells a variety of crocheted animals and other handmade items. Amigurumi was originally made famous by the Japanese., but it is very popular with animal lovers and pet owners across the globe.
Excited to see some of Ontario’s DockDogs, we proceeded to the pool to watch a bunch of speedy high-flying pups compete in dock-diving.
Next, we stopped by Katie Favell – Pet Portraits and enjoyed her artwork, colourful personality and passion for painting ‘pop-art pets.
Continuing our festival stroll we crossed paths with L.A. Pooch Parlour, a LaSalle pet spa, where Teddy was captivated by the glamorous ‘London’ (SableShep_Spoo) a standard poodle owned by Monica.
Before leaving Teddy had to experience canine massage therapy with Marti Vardai, Registered Veterinary Technician and canine massage therapist of Pawz Therapy, Colchester, Ontario.
Finally, we wrapped up our morning at Woofa-roo Pet Fest by stopping by AM800cklw to thank them for their quality programming and also enjoyed meet a therapy dog.
Thanks to the Windsor Star and Woofa-Roo Pet Fest for presenting this Pet positive charitable event supporting a number of Essex County animal charities.
