Hello, Business Tribe!
Celebrating Burns Night
Each January MMA Architect Inc.’s owner and founder Stuart Miller, being of Scottish heritage, enjoys attending an annual celebration of the Birthday of Robbie Burns, Scotland’s National Poet (25 January 1759 – 21 July 1796).
The poet and lyricist’s birthday is celebrated on January 25th or just prior at ‘Burns Night’ gatherings across the globe. The evening’s festivities feature a haggis dinner. whisky toasts, Scottish dancing and music, highland pipes & drums and recitations of Burns’ work. One of Burns’ most popular poems “Address to a Haggis” is usually recited. Please enjoy our video of the full Address to a Haggis delivered by Kim Gilliland at Burns Night 2019 in Kingsville, Ontario. For a print version of the address and a translation, click.
