Kordazone Theatre’s Annual: Holiday Panto

Pantos or Pantomimes are a type of musical comedy stage production designed for family entertainment. It was developed in Great Brittan and is still performed throughout the United Kingdom and other English-speaking countries, especially during Christmas.

We caught this show on Friday, December 14th and had a great time. Performances continue at 7:00 p.m. tonight, Saturday, December 15 and Sunday, December 16.

You’ll want to be at Korda to see Toni Bruner, as director and actor, playing ‘Lemony Locust’ (not ‘Jiminy Cricket,’ why? Because “you’ll get sued!”) empower her cast, musicians and crew to present fun-filled family entertainment with a twist. Pinocchio: A Holiday Panto, and book by Jeff Marontate, is a wild and not to be missed weaving of fairy tale and satire. The music by Collin Zorzitt & Bob Godden was creatively arranged and performed by David Light, bass; Tracey Atin, flute and Aarron Gasparini, Cajon; with Godden and Zorzitt playing guitar and piano. The whole cast was terrific, but the ‘leading lady,’ that’s no lady – that’s a turquoise fairy, was the meat to accompany the potatoes and veggies at this theatrical holiday feast. We were in stitches from start to finish. See below for links.

The Windsor Symphony Orchestra’s Toldo Holiday Pops Concert

Each year the WSO presents their holiday concert. Their 3 performances are musical Christmas cards to the Community. The lush sound of our local symphony orchestra playing your favourite holiday music will warm your heart and lift your spirits. This Windsor tradition is well worth attending. You can also shop the Windsor Symphony Orchestra Guild’s Musique Boutique for presents at intermission.  Be sure to celebrate with the symphony! See below for links.
